![]() ![]() Plus each POI has a set difficulty from T1 (easiest) to T6 (hardest), the harder you get the more zombies (and surprise traps), the bigger the building, and the better loot (plus there's more of it). ![]() Most of them are mini dungeons that have a clear path to run through and the amount of unique POIs is just insane. Every 7 days, you get a huge amount of zombies that spawn around your base and this gets harder and harder as the days pass and as your gamestate gets higher (your leveling and gear average I think).Īnother thing I appreciate are the POI's, they aren't just houses you break into. You can upgrade blocks from wood, to stone, to cement, and finally to steel (maybe iron first, unsure) and they have higher and higher hit points. Certain block types only support a certain amount of "weight", you can only hold a certain amount of blocks horizontally with a single vertical pillar, and you can't build in the air. The cool thing about 7DtD building is that there are specific building rules with structural integrity that you can't see in real time. Ofc if you're playing alone, you can make your own playthrough on a local save which can be run peer-to-peer (but significantly effects performance if you don't have a great computer) if you want to play with friends.Ĭorrect, the game is about scavenging supplies from POI's (places of interest), doing quests from traders that send you to specific POI's to do things, all the while building a base that survives zombies (or two, most people do a "horde night base" set with traps and then their base of operations so their loot doesn't get destroyed if their base crumbles). Once you get comfortable with server rules, you can filter your search by various rules to find a server more tailored to your preferences. I believe the rule is something like "Player killing" set to All, Only Strangers (people you don't add as friends in game), or None. It can be whichever, it depends on the rules the server admins choose (which are all viewable when you browse servers).
